Blueberry Orange Bonus Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges, peeled, segmented & seeded (I like to freeze mine)
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 banana, peeled, sliced & frozen
  • 2 medium fresh zucchini, stemmed & chopped
  • 1/2 cup Greek-style yogurt
  • 2 tbsps hemp seeds
  • 1/4-1/2 cup almond milk

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Scrape down the sides as needed and add a bit more almond milk if it's too thick. Taste for sweetness and add a bit of honey only if it needs it. Pour into 4 glasses (or 2 large glasses) & enjoy!

Recipe Notes

*I like to freeze the orange pieces, but you can skip that if you desire.  If you do freeze them, make sure to remove all the seeds as a blended seed can make the smoothie bitter.

*Over-ripe bananas are the best to freeze for smoothies.  They make them extra sweet.

*To make this vegan, you can omit the yogurt and include more almond milk or milk substitute of choice.
