Turmeric & Spinach C-Booster

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain kefir
  • 4 oranges, peeled & seeds removed
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 cups packed frozen spinach
  • 1/2-1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 4-5 ice cubes (or more as needed)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients (start with 1/2 tsp turmeric) to a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Taste and if desired add the rest of the turmeric. Add more ice cubes for a thicker consistency.

  2. Divide between 3-4 glasses and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

*If you don't have Kefir, you can replace with 3/4 cup of plain yogurt and 1/4 milk or water.

*Frozen pineapple or mango would be great additions.

*Start with 1/2 a teaspoon of the turmeric, taste and then add more if desired.  If you're not used to the flavor it can be a little overpowering depending on the brand and freshness.
