Easy Whole Wheat Mediterranean Flatbread

While everyone is on a bit of a homemade bread making kick, I think it’s only fitting to share my favorite recipe for Easy Whole Wheat Mediterranean Flatbread. These are pillow-soft and tender and really delicious. And they make a fabulous accompaniment to dip into soup or stew and are the best wraps for falafel, chicken kebabs, you name it. And the best part, they don’t take much time at all. We’re talking about 45 minutes from start to finish. But trust me, they’ll taste better than any flatbread you can find at the store.

Fig & Whipped Ricotta Toast with Rosemary Honey

Fig season is in full swing and I’m loving every minute of it.  And to think I thought that once we’re back in LA I would be missing out on the amazing figs in Istanbul.  Well, I do miss Istanbul and the figs there truly are second to none, but I’m very happy to report I’m still getting in on plenty of the fig action here in LA.  Not only does my sister have a fig tree in her backyard that is having a great harvest this year, but my childhood neighbor’s decades-old tree (which somehow we’ve never noticed) planted by her late grandfather is seriously producing the most lovely, ripe figs.  And she is sharing them with me by the plateful.  I couldn’t be more grateful and can’t help but think how the world really does work in mysterious ways.  And today, I want to share one of the latest fig-tastic creations, this Fig & Whipped Ricotta Toast with Rosemary Honey.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cereal Milk Popsicles

It’s 9am here in Los Angeles as I type this while watching the monkeys swim. (So grateful for this pool btw.) It’s been so hot here, we haven’t been able to get below the 90’s these days. So, if you’re thinking you’ve been seeing a lot of popsicles around here lately, this is why. But today’s is an extra fun treat. These Reese’s Peanut Butter Cereal Milk Popsicles are creamy, sweet, slighty chocolatey and have all the goodness of that bottom of the bowl cereal milk cherished from our childhood mornings.

Watermelon Popsicles

Is there any fruit that screams summer more than watermelon? For me, it’s absolutely the fruit of the season. I look forward to it all year long and can’t get enough of it once the first ripe and sweet melons arrive at the markets. It’s so refreshing and hits the spot on a sweltering hot day. I remember when I was pregnant with Mr. T during the hot summer months and all I could stand to eat much of the time was watermelon. It’s no surprise, now he really loves it too.

And while it is so perfect just as is, eaten from a giant wedge or cut up into chunks, it’s also the star ingredient in some of my favorite recipes. This Turkish Watermelon & Feta Salad and Watermelon-Mint Agua Fresca are a few examples. And today I want to share another one I think couldn’t be more perfect for today, National Watermelon Day. These Watermelon Popsicles are fabulous. And super cute and lots of fun for the kids. They truly let the natural flavor of the fruit shine with the most minimal of additions and have cool layers to make them look just like the real thing. But all while being super easy to make.

Coconut Cashew Granola

I am really excited to share this orange scented Coconut Cashew Granola with you today. We’ve been enjoying it so much for breakfast, an anytime snack and sometimes for dessert with a few mini chocolate chips thrown in. It’s slightly sweet, perfectly crisp, nutty in just the right amount and delicately scented with bright citrus-y notes. And if all that wasn’t tempting enough, the good-for-you factor should seal the deal. Now let’s talk about how to make this insanely delicious recipe…..
